PixelTask Solutions is me, Jacqueline King-Tran. I have 7 years of experience with design, illustration, and business workflow with a broad range of companies. Small businesses hire me on a contract basis, acting as their part-time, “business manager and virtual assistant for both creative and administrative aspects of their business.” I live in Wheaton, Illinois with my three sons.

Here’s my story:
I spent the first 15 years of my adult life working in corporate America, particularly in legal and administrative. I enjoyed it immensely.
I oversaw complex travel and correspondents, maintained confidential financial information for legal administration, and coordinated complex property acquisitions and dispositions of multi-million-dollar projects. Anything that involved maintaining and coordinating confidential complex projects and administration.
I’ve had multiple jobs and promotions along the way and had the chance to work with some of the smartest people in the business and legal community, many of whom took the time to mentor and teach me.
But, in 2001, things changed abruptly. I left to have my first child and after that, couldn’t imagine going back to the office. I knew it was time to go off on my own.
At first, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. But I was really into creative design, knee-deep in baby stuff, so one day I decided to pursue a degree in graphic design. I started at the local community college and slowly worked my way up to a bachelor’s in fine art, graduating Summa cum laude and eventually becoming a professor at that same college. Soon I found former professors friends, and relatives come to me when they needed to build order and intelligence into projects like book and logo design as well as illustration and website expertise.
Wow, what a shock. As a first-time entrepreneur, and despite all my corporate experience, I learned things about business I never could have imagined. Customer service, order fulfillment, systems integration, inventory management, vendor relations, search engine optimization, distribution, photography, shipping, marketing, buying, and, most importantly, cash flow.
PixelTask Solutions is hired by small businesses on a contract basis to act as their part-time, creative virtual assistant, helping them make more money, more efficiently and with less stress.
